Cognition and Perception
Cognition and perception studies are central to understanding how the brain processes information, interprets stimuli, and guides behavior. These studies explore areas such as attention, memory, sensory processing, and decision-making, providing insights into the neural mechanisms underlying human thought and perception. Researchers in this field require precise and reliable tools to measure brain activity and correlate it with cognitive and perceptual tasks.
Setup Requirements and Technological Challenges
Research in cognition and perception often demands high-resolution EEG systems that can capture rapid brain responses to stimuli with millisecond precision.
The setup usually involves stimulus presentation equipment synchronized with EEG recording systems to ensure accurate timing of events. Challenges include managing data quality, reducing artifacts (such as those from eye movements), and integrating multimodal data from other sensors or behavioral responses.
Our Solutions
To satisfy research demands for signal quality, compatibility, and mobility, ANT Neuro offers an eego™ mylab solution with the following adjustable options:
- A high-density EEG recording (8 channels-265 channels) with a high sampling rate (500hz - 16384Hz)
- Active shielding on each waveguard™ cap reduces environmental electrical noise
- Available external bipolar and auxiliary sensors (GSR, Temperature sensor, Respiration rate, photodiode, microphone, accelerometer, SPo2, and more).
- Support analog and digital triggers via parallel/BNC/MCX port and LSL respectively.
- Available SDK for the direct communication with the amplifier or stream data over LSL.
