It was in 1997 that Frank Zanow and Thomas Knösche embarked on a journey and founded ANT Neuro. The ASA software was the company’s debut product. Based on their PhD research work at Universiteit Twente, ASA allowed researchers to analyse their EEG/MEG data using largely unavailable source reconstruction and MRI based head models.

Since then, the company has added product after product – from the sensor to the source of electrical brain activity, to ensure our customers can strive for excellence in their work with uncompromised technology. We expanded into neuronavigation and TMS robotics with the same determination ten years later - at a time where the therapeutic effect of TMS was barely demonstrated. We led the way in mobile high-density EEG with the introduction of the eego amplifier ten years ago and ventured into neonatal cerebral functional monitoring in 2018. 

To date, Frank Zanow’s visionary leadership of has been fundamental to many of these advances. Ultimately though, we owe the success of the company to two groups of people: Firstly – our customers, who often enough become partners in the pursuit of a new product vision. Several of our products stem from joint research and development projects that we have been a part of over the years; collaborations that have helped us develop products that address a relevant need.

Secondly – our team, who are pivotal in conceptualizing, developing, building and promoting our products, who shape the company vision and culture, and make this journey so satisfying for everyone on board. Many people have come and gone over the last 25 years, and every person played an important role in taking the next step and left permanent footprints in our story. We owe a debt of gratitude to both our customers and employees.

As we embark on the next 25 years of ANT Neuro’s journey, we will stay committed to our mission to bring inspiring technology to the market, with curiosity being a genuine part of ANT Neuro’s DNA.
