York Instruments Ltd. Announces Collaboration With eemagine GmbH In MEG-EEG Instrumentation And Software Development

YORK, England, Feb. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Officials from York Instruments Ltd. (subsidiary of Croton Healthcare, LLC, Coral Springs, FL) announced today that the company has entered into an agreement with eemagine GmbH for the development of high performance integrated solutions to study human electromagnetic brain activity using magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG) for research and clinical diagnostics.

This joint effort enables York Instruments to provide users with high-resolution EEG measurements and clinical analysis software, which complements the company's advanced MEG solutions.

York Instruments' President James R. Petite Jr. said, "The collaboration with eemagine GmbH is an important milestone toward the upcoming release of York Instruments' MEGSCAN complete package solution."

MEG and EEG are non-invasive measurement techniques that unravel neuronal activity in the human cortex with great temporal and spatial detail. MEG in combination with EEG plays a key role in presurgical evaluation of epilepsy patients and is increasingly being used to study other challenging neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's. The combination of state-of-the-art MEG and EEG technologies makes this technique very effective for routine clinical use.

"We are convinced this cooperation will benefit both parties in their efforts to accelerate the development of new and exciting MEG applications that meet even the most advanced requirements in neuroscience and clinical use," said Petite.

"We are delighted to enter into this agreement with a focused and ambitious partner in the MEG industry," said Frank Zanow, CEO, eemagine GmbH. "Our company has a long history in MEG analysis software and vast expertise using EEG data with our ASA software and eego EEG amplifier line, as brought to the market by ANT Neuro b.v., a leading supplier in neuroscience."

Petite also commented that he welcomed the inclusion of the MEGSCAN clinical software package and EEG amplifier components by ANT Neuro as a valuable addition to the MEGSCAN product offering.
